Increases the maximum number of dealerships you can have. Increases the speed in which you get new dealerships. Originally posted by Prasiatko:For the number of dealerships in a city is there any cap based on your dealership slider setting or would both a maxed dealership ressouces slider and the minimum setting eventually obtain the same number of dealerships if given enough time? There is a max cap to the number of dealerships you can have based on the Dealership Resource slider, but the cap also increases with time. The take away is, full sliders are the best sliders if you can comfortably afford it. I am practically at feature freeze as of v1.24. That will hopefully give you a better understanding of what the system actually does.Īnyway, nothing will be changing in this respect. You will then be able to see the formula in game. I will be making a button to break down the "Buyer" rating for vehicles being sold at branches in v1.25. And it will have practically no effect if you have a monopoly. The more you invest there, the more dealerships you have.Īs for effects of the sales resources, you will not directly see its effects. It takes decades to build up a good amount. Yes, it slowly changes, but it does change. The amount of dealerships will periodically increase over time. You can visually see the change in dealerships, Open up the world map, click the city, click branch, hit "View Details". Keep repeating until you say "yes" or you're at 0% slider. Answer no to either of those and you reduce the sliders somewhat and ask your self the same question. The easy way to look at it, can you afford it? Yes? Is there a lot of competition? Yes? Then do it. The same is true with all other sliders in the game. You still get ~more~ out of full sliders then you do with any other level of sliders. So for one situation you'd be wasting money, where as in another situation you'd be making more money from your choices.ĭiminishing returns does not mean negative returns. If you're the only company in town, it's not going to do much. The more vehicles for sale in a city the more effect having more dealerships and more sales resources will have. In fact, I plan on doing this for the casual spin off game.īut that being said, there is no optimal setting. Half the game could be eliminated if I told the player "this is optimal". Thus there wouldn't even be the need for the two sliders. If I were to give you an exact amount as "optimal" then you would just set it at optimal every time.
